Torque Limiter information
The Torque Limiter inside winch drum makes the winch comply with Machinery Directives including 89/392/EEC and amendments (91/386/EEC, 93/86/EEC); 89/36/EEC (the wire rope and installation are not included).
Performance:
During operation, if pressing the button "IN" for more than 5 seconds but the wire rope stops moving, it indicates that the winch is overloaded and the Torque Limiter inside the drum slips and provides overload protection. Stop the winch and let it rest for awhile. Consider using other measures to help, such as the use of snatch blocks or reducing the load.
Replacement of Torque Limiter:
Frequent overload operation will decrease the torque of the Torque Limiter and reduce the pulling capacity of your winch. The Torque Limiter should be replaced by the distributor with the identical replacement as supplied by the manufacturer. Otherwise, it will void any warranty claims and any damages, injury or reliability will be assumed by the winch owner.
WARNING:
1. The winch should be stopped immediately when the Torque Limiter functions. Otherwise, it will cause damage to the Torque Limiter and the winch. During operation, if pressing the button "IN" for more than 5 seconds but the wire rope stops moving, it indicates that the winch is overloaded and the Torque Limiter inside the drum slips and provides overload protection.
2. Do not take the Torque Limiter apart for repair or any other purpose, which will damage the Torque Limiter and may cause injury to the operator and other persons.
